Upper Kirby Construction: Weekend Rain Continues to Slow Progress

Westheimer Paving, Drainage and  Streetscape Improvements Project:
 
Utility work on Westheimer has continued at the corner of Shepherd and Westheimer over the past week. However, efforts to accelerate construction using nights and Sundays has been significantly hampered by rain. With rain events over the last three weeks and rain in the forecast over the next few days, it has been difficult to gain ground back from delays experienced early in the project.

Crews working on the Westheimer utility relocation project have cleared the Shepherd / Westheimer corner and have shifted traffic control west to the final run between Kirby and Argonne.
